Experience

I have a graduate degree in Spanish Lit and a doctorate degree in International Education, both of which I obtained in Spain. My teaching background is broad, having taught middle and high school students, as well as graduate students. I teach a variety of classes, including Spanish Language, Literature, Culture, International Education, ESL/ELL, and Preparation for Teachers in Bilingual and Second Language Acquisition. I've also worked with students to prepare for a number of tests, including the Diploma de Espade Espanol como Lengua Extranjera (DELE), IB Spanish, Advanced Placement Spanish Language, and Advanced Placement Spanish Literature. I administer levels I-III of the DELE and read for A.P. Spanish tests. I believe that the pursuit of knowledge should be enjoyable, push students to new heights, and provide them with new capabilities. I get much joy from aiding students in reaching new levels of comprehension and gaining useful skills. Family means a lot to me, and I love caring for my twin grandchildren. I also enjoy travel, crochet, crafts, and aromatherapy. I also love to read, meditate, bake, and cook.
