Admitted to the College of Business and Economics Economics for Leaders- a one-week intensive program where I learned the basics of economics and leadership skills at the University of California in Santa Barbara Investigative Journalism Program- a two-week program at Boston University that focused on researching a specific topic, the stock market, and working on organizing, writing, and presenting my research
Experience
I have experience with peer tutoring such as helping students with school essays. Also, I have experience working with children as I was a general counselor at an overnight camp and working with mentally challenged children through the TOPSoccer program in my community. I have taken both the ACT (28 overall) and SAT (1970 overall and essay score of 10) and was tutored by professionals in the field. I also took a total of 9 AP exams throughout high school. I have taken AP English Literature, AP English Language, and was Editor and Chief of my school newspaper which all gave me writing experience and a strong understanding of grammar and sentence structure. I completed both the AP Macroeconomics and Microeconomics at my school and received "A"s. I received the award for Scholar Athlete for my graduating class which is awarded to the individual who has the highest GPA as well as a minimum of 5 varsity sports credits. I want to tutor as I have previously tutored throughout high-school with kids around the community. I love the interaction and teaching other students and helping them understand difficult concepts. I try to make the experience as energetic and fun as possible, making sure not to bore my client. I think being a younger tutor gives me the ability to connect better with the student and be able to relate with the concepts he or she may struggle with.

Hobbies
I like to keep active as much as I can. I play soccer, run cross country and track, and practice bikram yoga. I enjoy going to the beach and spending time with friends and family. I like to read for fun, which has consisted of a wide-range of books such as Gone Girl to the Ellen Degeneres book.
