I am native of Costa Rica, but I have been living in the States for 6 years. I am bilingual. I have been tutoring and teaching trumpet, music skills, music theory and basic piano for over 8 years. I keep a trumpet studio every year with kids between 8 and 15 years old. Very familiar with different teaching techniques. I tutor kids that are in band in school and need an extra help or an extra push with their music as well as school and state competitions. I like making my lessons fun and interactive with the students because they are more willing to listen and be more engaged and therefore learn more. I have all tutor Spanish for the past 4 year here in Florida, this have been with kids that are between 8 and 18 years old. This consists in helping with homework, keeping conversations to practice what learned in school, Spanish grammar skills, etc.

I am very interesting in being a teacher so I read a lot about different teaching techniques along with my music classes. I have taken Pedagogy class and observe many lessons to be able to respond to the kids needs accordingly. I communicate equally in English or Spanish.
